A disruption caused by a Global IT Outage on 19 juillet 2024 affected Delta’s operation systemwide. A travel waiver, which offers customers the ability to make a one-time change to their itinerary, or to cancel and receive a Delta Vacations Travel Certificate or request a refund for the unused portion of their Delta Vacations package, is in effect for customers with travel scheduled for July 19-28.

For future travel rebooking:

  1. If the travel dates for your Delta Vacations package were within the impacted dates and you’d like to rebook your vacation, we’ve issued a temporary Global IT Outage travel waiver to allow customers to make a one-time change to their itinerary: the fare difference for customers will be waived when rebooked travel occurs on or before August 4, in the same cabin of service as originally booked.* Rebooking will be permitted only for the same hotel and room category.
  2. Customers who request a one-time itinerary change are not eligible for a refund.
  3. After making this one-time change, other changes will only be permitted in accordance with Delta Vacations' Cancellation Policy.

*When rescheduled travel occurs beyond 04 août 2024, the airfare change fee will be waived. Cependant, un écart de tarif peut s'appliquer. REMBOURSEMENTS

  1. For travel packages occurring during the impacted travel dates, customers, may cancel the unused portion of their package and request either:

    2. a. A Delta Vacations travel certificate for the value of the unused portion of the package; or

    b. A refund to the original form of payment for the unused portion of the package.

As a reminder, Delta Vacations’ standard cancellation policy will apply for all packages with traveling occurring before July 19 or after 28 juillet 2024.

Hotel, transportation and meal expenses incurred as a result of a flight disruption within the control of Delta Air Lines may be eligible for reimbursement under Section 12 of the Delta Customer Commitment and Contract of Carriage. If you are a resident of the U.S. and its territories or Canada, use Delta’s form to submit a reimbursement request for hotel, transportation and/or meal expenses you incurred due to a flight disruption within Delta’s control.
