Volunteer Engagement

Delta’s rich legacy of hands-on employee volunteerism is a testament to our commitment to servant leadership. Our people proudly and passionately serve as both local ambassadors and global citizens, showing up to support causes and nonprofit partners they care deeply about. Highlights of our 2023 volunteer engagement include:

  • Honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by serving 500+ families experiencing food insecurity at the annual Hosea Helps Festival of Services event in Atlanta

  • Students from JA Utah experience hands on training and exposure to a variety of aviation careers at an Airport Job Shadow at Salt Lake City International Airport

  • Partnering with 21 food banks in the United States and Europe to fight food insecurity and provide meals for hungry families

  • Joining TreeUtah for the second year in a row for a community tree planting event to highlight the importance of investing in urban parks and creating sustainable cities

  • Building four Habitat for Humanity homes in Atlanta to bring our total to 283 homes built or rehabbed in 13 countries to support strong and stable communities through affordable housing

  • Partnering with KABOOM! and local organizations in Miami and Clayton County, Georgia, to unveil kid-designed, community-built playgrounds in underserved neighborhoods

  • Commemorating Earth Month by participating in beach cleanups and planting more than 250 trees in nine U.S. cities
